What We Programme
Every form, every length.
We champion bold African filmmaking in all its forms. Work from the continent and from across the global diaspora is equally welcome, and first films sit alongside established names in our programme every year.
Preparing your submission.
Screener
A secure online screener link with password, valid through the selection period. Full technical delivery specifications are confirmed with selected filmmakers.
Subtitles
Films not in English require English subtitles, either burned in or supplied as a separate subtitle file.
Supporting materials
A synopsis, director biography, film stills and full credits — used in the programme, on this website and in press coverage.
Runtime
Shorts are programmed up to 40 minutes. There is no upper limit for features, though scheduling is considered as part of selection.

What happens next.
All submissions are reviewed by our programming team. Selected filmmakers will be contacted directly — we’re unable to guarantee a response to every submission, so please don’t chase before the deadline has passed.
If your film is selected, we’ll talk you through screening slots, delivery, travel and any Q&A or panel appearance.
